Welcome to the Car Donation Community

Welcome to our community website about car donations. We are dedicated to bringing you the latest information on charitable auto donation programs, and I am very proud to present the research we’ve done regarding this field in each of the cities (sometimes states) . This site was started to give people information the about how to find donation programs, take care of your car for pickup, look for a donor to pass along your car’s legacy, and much more.

As you will read in this site, there are many 3rd party auto donation people out there that take a large cut of your car’s worth. This kind of activity takes away from the REAL DONATION CENTERS that need the money to support a good cause and we thought that the consumer should know about this. So we hired a team to research all the programs in each of these metro areas and the resulting site is what we found.

We don’t necessarily endorse any single one of these charities (although I think they all are some of the best out there), rather our focus was to point out some of the more worthy ones in each metro area to empower the donor to make an informed decision.

All in all, this website will bring needed information to the car donation world. We look forward to you participation by leaving comments and posting articles and questions. Thanks for coming, take a look around.

Thanks SO much for visiting, we REALLY Appreciate your support.
Phil Michaels

    Dear,
    Hello,

We are looking for a donated pick-up truck or 4×4 SUV truck that will be used to transport books from the port of the interior city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Currently, books are being transported by Msgr. Gilbert Kalumbu by bicycle. We have assisted Msgr. Kalumbu with the large shipping container for the 100+ boxes of books, which have been donated for the library in Kinshasa. He has worked very hard and is the founder of the library. Without a vehicle, he will not be able to take the books for the children of the Congo. Your help and assistance will be greatly appreciated. May the Lord Our God continue to bless all his children who are in a position to serve others.

Thank you, for your generous contribution and support for a very worthy cause.

    Peace and Blessings,
    Mrs. Higginbotham
    Assistant to the President

  • Vehicles that may not mean a lot to you can make a difference in the lives of families in need by donating them to Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes program.

Donated cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, RVs and other vehicles are sold and the funds raised help build simple, decent homes in partnership with low-income families. Donors receive an acknowledgement letter for their vehicle donation they may use for tax purposes if they itemize deductions. Vehicle, title and contact information is collected, and upon acceptance of the vehicle, arrangements are made for the vehicle, keys and title to be picked up.

For information on how you can help eliminate poverty housing and homelessness, and potentially qualify for tax benefits for your vehicle donation, call Habitat for Humanity Cars for Homes at 1-877-277-HFHI (4344) or visit http://www.carsforhomes.org

    Quick tips for donating a vehicle;

    — Make sure the nonprofit organization is reputable by being familiar with its purpose and work in the community. Check with the local Better Business Bureau or similar organization to see if the nonprofit is in good standing.

    — Inquire what percent of the vehicle’s sales go directly to the nonprofit organization. Habitat for Humanity receives between 70 and 85 percent of the total donation (after towing fees, etc.).

    — Make sure the tower is licensed and insured and the donated vehicle will be sold through a licensed dealer.

    — Sign the vehicle’s title directly to the nonprofit organization or their certified agent.

    — Ask the nonprofit organization how funds from the donated vehicle will be used.
