CAR DONATION IN MICHIGAN

Michigan has a number of deserving charities that operate Car Donation schemes. It would be impossible to list all of these, however here are three of the more deserving causes that you can give old automobile to.
The Lutheran Child and Family Service of Michigan provides a range of services that reach nearly 15,000 children and families each year. With the well being of children and families at the core of their ministry, services are designed to:
• Provide a safe and stable environment for abused and neglected children.
• Offer quality counselling and therapy programs for individuals and families.
• Address current and emerging needs of children and families.
• Respond in Christian love by helping people in need.

Charity Motors operate the donation scheme for LCFS. When you donate your vehicle, let Charity Motors know that you wish to designate LCFS of Michigan as the recipient of the proceeds from the sale of your vehicle. The Michigan Animal Adoption Network (MAAN) is an umbrella organization comprised of 3 basic operations: The Animal Care Network, the Adopt-A-Pet program, and the Lost and Found Network. The Animal Care Network is a dedicated group of volunteers spending time each weekend in low-income areas in suburban Wayne and Oakland counties providing relief to strictly outdoor pets. The Adopt-A-Pet program is a coalition of area rescue groups, foster homes, and shelters working to place rescued and unwanted animals into new, permanent homes. The Lost and Found Network is a computerized pet registry offering numbered ID tags for pets.

The American Lung Association of Michigan has been fighting lung disease for 100 years-from tuberculosis to the asthma epidemic.
Through education, advocacy and research they strive to improve the health of the community. They are:
• Working with youth to prevent tobacco use and helping those quit who already have begun this deadly addiction;
• Helping communities mobilize to fight the effects of asthma, and working with school children to better manage their disease;
• Fighting for cleaner air, both indoors and outside;
• Funding life-enhancing research into the causes and cures of lung diseases.

By donating your car to the American Lung Association of Michigan, they will put either the proceeds from selling the car toward programs or research or…in the case of nicer vehicles, may be able to pass your old vehicle along to a needy family so that those with lung disease can get to the doctor and do their errands with ease.

am writing to you, our of desperation. My name is Heather Sterner, I
am 23 years old and expecting my second child. As of now I don’t have
a job. I got laid off several months ago and since I’ve been pregnant
haven’t been able to find a new one. I am currently living with a
friend (hence the Internet access), who has been generous enough to allow
my daughter and I stay here.
I am writing to you, because I have a BIG dilemma with my new and
coming baby. I drive a 1998 Ford Ranger, don’t get me wrong I LOVE my
truck. IT has gotten me to and from Florida, every where. However when it
was just my daughter and I it was fine, just turn the air bag off and
sit her up front with me (didn’t have any other choice), but now that I
have a second baby on the way, I couldn’t possibly fit all of us in
there, especially since it’s a stick. So here is the dilemma, I can’t fit
2 car seats into my truck and time is running short and I HAVE to have
a vehicle. You’re thinking why not sell it? I have tried to sell it
since March, the problem is that it has A LOT of miles….over 100,000
(and it’s a 98′). People don’t want to hear the fact that they are
highway miles, or that I’ve maintained it!! No body wants to give me
hardly anything for it. How am I supposed to get a good vehicle for myself
and my kids with the few hundred dollars people are offering me for it.
Another option would be to trade it in and finance. That would be
WONDERFUL…to have a nice brand new car for my girls, but sadly I made a
lot of silly choices as a youth and have poor credit (which I am working
on) AND as of now I don’t have a job. My baby is due Nov 5th. My
question to you is…I know you guys have a program for donated vehicles,
do you also offer something where I could trade my truck to you, for
something that would fit all of us? I am not asking to trade a 98 Ford
Ranger with high miles, for a 2005 wind-star van…I am grateful for
anything my family receives. If you could help me PLEASE contact me, or if
you know of a organization who could help me. Time is running thin and
I’ve expired all the options I can think of. All I need is a vehicle
that can accommodate my family and I. I would like to trade you my truck
for another vehicle. If at all possible. Thank You very much for your

Iam a DAV[disabled american veteran] I have a bad case of asthma which has been rated and documented by the Dept. Of Veterans Affairs.Iam currently studying for my:CAC certification [Chemical Addiction Counselor Cert.] As I get older I notice that my condition gets worse.Iam having a difficult time getting around on “public transportation”.
