There are many fine charities in the Miami area. And there may be some that you might want to consider for car donation.
Miami Rescue Mission
The Miami Rescue Mission is one such charity. The Miami Rescue Mission is a faith-based non-profit organization that has been serving the homeless and hungry of Miami since 1922. The Miami Rescue Mission provides hot meals, warm clothing, emergency food, lodging, education and long-term rehabilitation programs to homeless men, women, and children.
The car donation program is run by Maria Chavez. You can contact her at 305-572-2063. She can tell you how to donate your car. Basically, you just:
1. Contact the Miami Rescue Mission
2. The car is then sold at Mission Motors, or at one of their auto auctions.
The advantage to this program is that all the money received from the auctions go directly to the Miami Rescue Mission. Auctions are also held the first Saturday of each month.
